We welcome Malikk to SNOE with his track “Aah Magic”. Based in Southern France he has quickly become a global player known for his unique take on House and Tech House. His track “Aah Magic” is exactly this, a groovy and driving tune with funky synths and perky percussions, which brings a positive vibe and a good portion of electricity to the dance floor.We had a little chat with him about his studio habits, favourite club drinks and guilty pleasures.
Hei Malikk. Thanks for taking the time to chat with us. Your new track “Aah Magic” is out on SNOE these days, what was your inspiration behind it?
Right now I listen to a lot of groovy tracks! It inspired me, and Aah Magick was born, haha. I liked to add some synths everywhere to make the track a little crazy. And I’m happy to have signed it on Snoe.
What would you say is the essence of the track?
The essence of the track is the groove!
How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard you before?
Techno, house, and some mixture, she can make you dance on the dance floor 🙂
And can you tell us a bit about your musical background and where you are from?
When I was 15 years old (in the 90s’) in the south of france the best friend at my big brother organized electronic parties. That’s when it all started, I fell in love with vinyl, turntables and house music. This became a motivation to get into the on DJing. My first vinyl I played was (Sweet Drop – Human Nature) .
How much time do you spend in the studio?
When I have inspiration it can take a few hours. But if I don’t get inspiration, it can take an entire night… 🙂

With whom would you like to spend time in the studio?
Jamie Jones and Zombie Nation I like his crazy side hahaha. I also made him a remix.
What is the one thing you can’t be without in the studio?
My lucky charm 🙂
And what is the one thing you do not want in your studio?
When I have a cold !
What are your guilty pleasures?
A good McDonalds!
How would you describe the scene where you live?
There are some underground clubs I like but otherwise the rest is too commercial for me
Any place you would like to play that you haven’t been yet?
I’ve never played in Germany! Why not one day!
What do you drink when you play?
Vodka red bull and some beers 🙂
How do you balance music and everyday life?
I try to manage the time between studio sessions and tours so I can spend time with my family and friends! Sometimes my wife travels with me on tour to enjoy together.
What’s in store for you over the next few months?
I go on tour to Brazil for 1 week. I’ll play in the club where I’ve always dreamed of playing Warung Beach Club. And some upcoming dates in Europe…
